Melissa Tinsley
Mel Tinsley, is the Manager Clinical Information and Decision Support at the Agency for Clinical Innovation, her team aims to drive system transformation to improve the outcomes and experiences for people receiving care, as well as improve experiences for healthcare teams delivering care. Currently Mels priority program areas include Patient Reported Measures, e-enabling Clinical Quality Registries, Leading Better Value Care eMR builds and clinical applications – all contributing to the Value Based Healthcare approach.
Mel has led large scale system change, redesign and implementation across NSW for almost 10 years, prior to this she held the role of Clinical Nurse Consultant, Stroke and was a nurse for 10 years where her passion for person centred care originated. Most recently she completed her Executive Masters in Public Administration through the Australian New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) where her enthusiasm for delivering public value was cemented.
Through the presentation she will provide an overview of the NSW Health Patient Reported Measures program, including an overview of the Health Outcomes and Patient Experience (HOPE) platform. HOPE platform is being implemented across NSW to support the systematic, routine collection and use of PRMs to support treatment, care and shared decision making – measuring what matters most to patients. The PRM program is supporting work across the NSW Health system, as well as supporting work in Primary Care to enable a Value Based Healthcare system.
