Jacinta Elston
Professor Jacinta Elston is the Pro Vice-Chancellor (Indigenous), and Head of the William Cooper Institute at Monash University. An Aboriginal leader from north Queensland, Professor Elston is a highly regarded higher education and public health advocate with a strong record of centred leadership and governance spanning more than two decades focused on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander advancement, education, and research. Professor Elston is recognised nationally and internationally for her expertise and contributions to Indigenous health services, health services delivery and community development. She is Deputy Chair of the Breast Cancer Network of Australia, and Chair of Cancer Australia's Leadership Group on Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Cancer Control.
