This presentation will look at the prevalence of malnutrition, sarcopenia and frailty in a sample of 4152 participants with cancer from the large prospective epidemiological UK Biobank study. The impact of these conditions, as well as their precursors such as low muscle strength, low muscle mass and reduced physical performance, on mortality will be discussed. Furthermore, whether these conditions are more likely to be present in people with cancer who have multi-morbidity or certain long-term health conditions will be explored.
